A Growth mindset is better for your health than a Fixed mindset | Steps to have a growth mindset | By Mentoons

A GROWTH MINDSET IS BETTER FOR YOUR HEALTH THAN A FIXED MINDSET

Sometimes you might try something new and give up just because you could not do it right away. In such a case, you will feel disappointed, frustrated, embarrassed, or even angry.
Those feelings can increase in children, which is why it's critical to cultivate the appropriate mindset early on and encourage kids to keep working towards big dreams.
We all have ideas about our own potential and ability. These ideas are a part of our mindset, which is so powerful that they may influence our actions and predict our outcomes. Our everyday lives are shaped by our mindset, which aids us in interpreting our past experiences and future prospects.
Having a proper mindset can make you work hard with good strategies and you will be motivated and innovative.

A Growth mindset is better for your health than a Fixed mindset

An individual with a growth mindset will worry less about looking smart and put more energy into learning. When children practice a growth mindset, they feel far more empowered and committed to the task they are doing which includes playing outdoor games, participating in extracurricular activities,  viewing challenges with more enthusiasm, and learning new skills. Along the way, they'll improve their problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and confidence.
A growth mindset helps us all push through that tricky phase of learning when we want to give up.

Growth mindset is freedom:

1. Perseveres in the face of failures.
2. Effort is needed to create new skills.
3. Finds inspiration in others' success.
4. Accepts criticism.
5. Desires to learn.
6. Builds abilities.

A fixed mindset is limiting:

1. Avoids challenges.
2. Ignores feedback.
3. Threatened by others' success.
4. Desires to look smart.
5. Gives up easily.
6. Fixed abilities.

Steps to have a growth mindset:

Step 1: Share Your Experiences
Step 2: Discuss Feelings
Step 3: Set a New Goal
Step 4: Use the Power of Yet
Step 5: Observe change from a hard and fast to growth attitude
Step 6: Display Visuals as Everyday Reminders
Step 5: Discuss How Growth Mindset appears, Feels, and Sounds

It is important to teach children that kids with a growth mindset have a “can do” attitude. Instead of, “I can’t do it,” “I’m just not good at this,” and “This is too hard. Children with a growth mindset say, “I may not be able to focus it, yet,” “This is hard, but I will try,” and “I can learn how to do this!”

Individuals who believe in their growth mindset tend to achieve more than those who have a fixed mindset (who believe their talents are innate gifts).

It is hard to fail but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

Keep going, keep growing!

The lost art of focus: being distracted in a digital world | By Mentoons

The lost art of focus: being distracted in a digital world Every 12 minutes, we check our phones, often right after waking up. Long-term mental health is harmed by always-on behavior, and we must learn to hit the stop button.                    It's impossible to imagine life before electronic gadgets. Now, we are controlled by technologies and "turned on" our personal and professional lives, making us available all the time, crucially, easily distracted, and interrupted every second of the day. These constant breaks of our time and focus have become the new normal, to which we have easily adjusted, but there is a drawback: an increasing number of specialists are warning us that these interruptions and distractions are eroding our ability to focus. Kids are going through a lot of trauma in their life and they don't share with others as their interactions with people are reducing because...

SOCIAL MEDIA DE-ADDICTION

SOCIAL MEDIA DE-ADDICTION 1.       What is social media addition and how do you know that you are addicted to social media Spending more than required time on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, etc. An unhealthy dependence on these interactive platforms leads to Behavioural problems especially in teens and young adults. Checking and scrolling through social media has become a popular activity for kids. Today even an eight years old kid has an account on Facebook and Instagram they know how to make reels, post a feed or a story. At a very small age, they isolate themselves from the real world. They are rather interested in making friends online than making friends in real. Being overly concerned about social media, the inability to stop or curb to log on to social media, and spending so much time and effort on social media comes in between other important aspects of life. Addiction to social media is like any other substance abuse. Signs...
