ANCIENT VALUES

 ANCIENT VALUES

At an early life stage children should be introduced to moral values. Values are important to build the right character of the child.

  • Respect for elders and fellow beings:

Respect is the most important value that is to be taught to our kids. Paying respect to elders by touching their feet, seeking their blessings, folding hands, and greeting politely is part of Indian culture.

  • Respect for all religions:

India is a land of diverse religions. No matter which religion you follow, it is important to teach your child that all religions are equal and one should respect them.

  • Love for the family:

Learning to accept others first comes by learning to accept family members. Respecting and showing unconditional love to the family with all hearts is a need to teach our children. It teaches the ability to respect other choices even if you do not agree with them.

  • Helping each other:

Be it, anyone, in family, neighbourhood, school, society, helping others is a great value we Indian’s have. Teaching children that as good human beings we should always lend a helping hand to others who need it.

  • Honesty:

Honesty is indeed the best policy. Children learn to lie because they feel it will not harm anyone or sometimes lie because of fear. It is very important to teach children to speak the truth. They should understand that being honest in life will help them build a future in a right and respected manner.

  • Learn to do charity:

Children sometimes can become selfish so it is important to introduce them to charity. It is important to teach children to help underprivileged sections of society like poor kids by donating books, clothes, toys, food.

  • Gratitude:

Being thankful for what you have is important as it enables children to have a positive attitude towards life. Valuing what you have appreciating what you get from others and thanking them for that will help in building good relationships with others and with your life.

  • Learning to forgive:

It is important to teach children to say ‘It’s okay ‘ when someone genuinely apologizes for a mistake. Holding a grudge in your heart for someone who did something unintentionally or is sorry for their actions will add a sense of negativity. So it is important to learn to forgive.

  • Kindness:

It is important to teach children to be generous towards others and ability to give. The value of kindness helps to maintain harmony in any relationship.
